The HELP Group in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is embarking on a project to provide free quality education opportunities for young refugees in Malaysia.
Aptly named "Project Self Help" this programme will be held over a period of several years, beginning in November 2011. HELP Group and UNHCR aim to provide courses in marketable skills to an initial 5000 refugee youths in Malaysia (aged between 15-20 years), who are otherwise deprived of the educational and skills-building opportunities necessary to prepare them for their future.
