| Mr D. Gerard Joseph Louis B.Sc.Ed.(Hons)(UM), MSc. Guidance and Counseling (Distinction) (De La Salle University) Director Gerard has been involved with young people for over 20 years in the field of education. He has held numerous positions in school, from teacher, counselor to Principal of a secondary school in Kuala Lumpur. After his time in the formal school system, he worked as a Programmes Director of a Youth Formation Center in Ipoh, conducting as well as developing various kinds of personal development and leadership training programmes for both youth and adults. Gerard is a trained counselor and his work is now mainly with students at tertiary level. He is currently the Director of CAREERsense@HELP, the career guidance and counseling center at the University. He is also a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology. Part of his work also involves spending a great deal of time conducting seminars for teachers and parents in the areas of understanding teenagers, self-esteem, and parenting as well as para-counseling training programs for interested groups. | Not Available | Eric Bryan Amaladas B. Arts (Psychology), University of Manitoba, Canada Masters in Counseling, (Candidate, HELP University College) Consultant & Trainer Eric is a well sought after Training Consultant and has been for the last 12 years actively involved in group facilitation, public speaking and the development and delivery of, (1) adult and youth learning and (2) leadership development, programmes both nationally and internationally. He has been successful through seminars and group facilitation in enabling a culture of dialogue for organizational and social change. Over the years he has helped people develop a healthy and positive perspective of themselves, their work and their personal environment. He was the Programmes Director for a Lasallian Formation Centre for 10 years prior to being the Executive Secretary of the Malaysian Lasallian Education Council. He has also worked extensively with youth organizations (locally and internationally). Eric is currently the Deputy Director of CAREERsense. |  | Ms Yeo Pei Li M.Counselling (UM), BA (Social Administration) (UM) Counselor and Lecturer Yeo Pei Li has been working with children and youth since 1992. She is a registered counsellor in Malaysia. Besides counselling, she also lectures at the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences and also administers psychological tests such as Personality Tests, Career Tests, and Couples Test. Pei Li also gives talks and facilitates workshops for students in schools and colleges and also serves as a facilitator in the National Service (Character Building Module). She has also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Satir Systemic Brief Therapy (Satir Institute of the Pacific, Canada). |  | Mr. Kumaresan A. Ramalingam MA(Distinction) Counseling (De La Salle), Grad Dip Counseling (De La Salle) Consultant, Lecturer and Trainer Kumar Ramalingam was involved in the Information Technology (IT) field for more than 20 years. During this time he was attached to several public listed corporations such as Banks and the largest local IT firm. His career experience includes both the technical and sales fields and he has worked with clients in Malaysia and South East Asia. Since joining HELP University College, he has been involved in counseling, lecturing and providing training to a variety of groups. He also lectures at the Faculty of Behavioral Science. Kumar has a keen interest in the following areas - Counseling and Psychotherapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ericksonian approaches to therapy, Hypnotherapy and NLP)

|  | Dr. Mustafa AL-Emam BS & MA, (Ball State University USA), Doctorate D'etat, (Poitiers University France) Senior Lecturer & Psychometrician Dr. Mustafa is a psychometrician and has developed many different types of psychological tests including personality tests and intelligence tests. He has worked as a lecturer in many different countries including the United States and Libya and has co-authored several books, psychological tests & professional articles. Since coming to Malaysia in 1999, he lectured in a local university teaching subjects such as Testing & Measurement and Methods of Research in Psychology. He joined HELP in 2006 and is currently developing several tests. He is also lecturing for the Masters in Counseling course teaching Testing & Assessment. |  | Ms. Alison Fernandez BSc. (Psychology) (UIU) Administrative Coordinator Alison recently graduated with a Degree in Psychology from the University of Upper Iowa. She has worked part time with several training and development projects carried out by various organizations which focus on helping people to reach their fullest potentials as she has a strong passion in youth and women empowerment. Her area of interest is in youth counseling and human motivation. |  | Mr Justin Yap B. Psychology (UniSA) Research Assistant Justin is an alumnus of HELP who graduated with a Degree in Psychology from the University of South Australia. During his campus days he was a member of Center for Psychology’s Peer Support Group. Justin has a keen interest in counseling and a passion for people. In line with this, he is currently pursuing a Masters in Counseling. His area of interest includes working in youth and family counseling. |
