Psychology challenge 2009



Write a psychology essay, tell us in your own words why you want to study psychology and answer 5 simple questions about the psychology program at HELP to compete for a place at the grand finals on 1st August 2009.  Here, you will pit your skills against the other finalists to win a full scholarship to study psychology at HELP University College, and other scholarships and attractive book prizes. HELP University College houses one of the largest undergraduate psychology programs in Southeast Asia.

Open to all Form 4, Form 5 and Form 6 students
Entries must reach us by: 18th July 2009 (Dateline extended to 25th July)
Finals: 1st  August 2009 (HELP University College)

Part A: Write an Essay
Title: “How can psychology help young people to achieve their full potential in life?"

Word Limit: 400-600

Part B: Fill in your Personal Statement

Tell us in your own words why you want to study psychology in not more than 50 words.

Part C: Find out the Answers for Five Short Questions


       1.    What is the motto of HELP’s Faculty of Behaviourial Science?
         2.    When are the intake months for the Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) Degree?
         3.    When was the Centre for Psychology (now known as the Faculty of Behavioural Science) first established?
         4.    Name three final year psychology elective papers.
         5.    Name the three postgraduate programs currently offered by HELP University College's Department of Psychology.
