Psychology Research Colloquium

This is an in-house research conference held twice a year in March and July which gives HELP Psychology students the opportunity to present their research to their peers and faculty staff. It reflects our commitment to train students in how to design, implement, analyse, and report research in psychology.
 

The Psychology Movie Festival 

This is held 3 times a year in February, June and October. For one weekend, HELP is transformed into a Cineplex and 8-10 movies that illustrate different aspects of psychology are screened. Students are required to write reviews that demonstrate their ability to apply what they have learnt in their lectures to the movies they watch.

Psychology In-house Seminars

HELP psychology students are exposed to the various areas in psychology through the In-House Seminars presented by speakers from different areas of expertise.
 

Counselling Service

With a team of 5 counselling staff, HELP offers students free counselling and consulting services to ensure a high level of mental health. Career counselling and personal development services are also available to all HELP students.
 

Student Tutorship

Psychology students who demonstrate academic excellence and good communication skills will be invited to apply for positions as student tutors. Their roles will include giving academic mentoring to students and assisting the lecturers in course preparation. It is the ideal training for students who want to pursue a career in lecturing.
 

Research AssistantShipS

This opportunity to work with academic staff on research is the ideal training ground for students wanting to pursue further studies in psychology. All HELP psychology students are eligible to apply for these prized positions.
 

Woking InternshipS


All HELP Psychology students are encouraged to seek work experience in encouraged to seek work experience in encouraged to seek work experience in link students with internship sites in their area of interest including social work, corporate psychology, child care and education as well as research and training.
 

Academic Developement WoskshopS

Every semester, psychology students who want to hone their academic skills can attend, at no charge, seminars run by HELP psychology lecturers on writing skills, research planning, using computer statistical packages (SPSS), and presentation skills.
