PROGRAM DETAILS

• Subjects carry 3 - 5 credit hours
• 3 - 6 subjects to be completed in 1 semester
• 16 weeks semester (Jan & May); 9 weeks semester (Oct); 3 semesters a year.
• 3 - 5 hours of teaching per subject per week

AREAS OF WORK

There is an array of career opportunities in biotechnology-related fields. Biotechnologists are employed predominantly in medical, healthcare, food science, pharmaceuticals, veterinary and crop protection laboratories. Careers are related to research, quality control, clinical research, biotechnology patents, manufacturing and production.

• Class participation, quizzes, tests, assignments, projects & presentations
• Final semester written examination
