Ever since its founding in 1986 to provide affordable quality educational opportunities for Malaysians, HELP University College has developed into a leading institution of higher learning in Malaysia with a firmly established international reputation among universities, research organizations, scholars, businesses and corporate leaders and governments in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Since its founding days, HELP University College has been an innovator in providing quality educational opportunities with special emphasis on programs addressing current and emerging needs in society.
Building on its successful past, HELP University College will strive to achieve prominent and distinctive leadership as an institution that empowers students with substantive knowledge and the practical experience appropriate for success as leaders in their professions. The academic programs of HELP University College were further developed into faculties in order to more effectively concentrate on the wide range of course offerings being made to an increasingly diverse student body.
From its origins offering a liberal arts and sciences curriculum under the Department of American Degree Program, the department continues to build its curriculum, serving the interests of both students and faculty. In January 2006, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established, reflecting the increased scope and the diversity of academic programs offered.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences houses the American Degree Transfer Program (Liberal Arts), Department of Communication, Department of Asian Studies and Centre for Languages. The faculty continues to be increasingly attractive to our diverse audience of students. New and exciting possibilities await us on the horizon and we welcome them in our desire to continue to refine and increase the quality and degree of excellence our program offerings can provide for every individual member of our community.
