The Master of Managerial Psychology course comprises modules carefully chosen from a combination of 12 management disciplines with emphasis in psychology subjects designed to meet the needs of part-time students.
 

Aims of the Course

The Master of Managerial Psychology course is aimed at providing versatile managers specialising in human behaviour in the work place.

The rationale for the development of the Master of Managerial Psychology program is to prepare students for managerial work in the industry, governmental agencies, and universities.
 

The uniqueness of the program comes from combining the core areas of management with areas of Applied Psychology, which will result in theoretical preparation with a practical orientation. This is because the addition of the psychological perspective enhances the management of human relations and organisational effectiveness.

course duration

Students can complete the Masters of Managerial Psychology in approximately 1½ years.
Alternatively, students must complete their Masters in a maximum duration of 3 years.

Note that Lectures for Masters Modules are held:

Every Tuesday and Thursday (7-10pm)
2 Saturdays over the 6 week period (9-5pm)

Intakes are per modular basis and open every 7 weeks throughout the year. The next one is on March 1, 2010. Please call in to enquire for more details.

Pre-requisities:

The Master of Managerial Psychology course comprises of 12 modules. Students are required to enroll for the 6 compulsory units, and to choose 6 out of the 8 electives offered. Students who do not have a prior degree in psychology will be required to complete 1 pre-requisite subjects before starting the Masters program.

SHORT COURSE OPTION

Students who do not wish to complete the entire Master program can register for individual modules and complete them as short courses.
  • Cost for application fee is RM 100/-, cost for the Pre- requisite Psychology module is RM1,500/-, cost per Managerial Psychology module is RM1,800/-.
  • Students will not be required to complete written examinations
  • Certificates of attendance and participation will be presented at the end of each module
  • Modules taken as short courses are NOT transferable into the Master of Managerial Psychology program.
