MSc in Economic Crime Management


Introduction

The Master of Science in Economic Crime Management is a 48 credit hour course offered by HELP University College. The program covers all the main areas of study required for an understanding of criminology as well as current issues related to economic crime such as white collar crime, business crime and corporate crime. Graduates of the program would be equipped with the relevant critical analysis skills that are essential in managing economic crime in its various forms and concepts.     

Aims of the Course

The Master of Science in Economic Crime Management program is not only designed to develop expertise in managing economic crime but also to strengthen graduate students knowledge in the fields of economic crime, white collar crime, business crime and corruption. The learning process is important in uplifting graduate students knowledge and understanding in managing crime, criminal law, and issues in economic crime.

Learning outcomes:
  • Graduates will be able to understand, evaluate and comprehend the principles of economic crime management as well as identify and prevent its occurrence.
  • Graduates will be able to secure a practical knowledge of the course to ensure that economic crime can be hindered at its roots and controlled.
  • Graduates will have an apprehension of the best practices in ethical conduct in relation to the visions of the nation.
  • Graduates will be able to have critical evaluation on the management as well as the strategies of economic crime management.
  • Graduates will be to explore means and ways to provide alternative solutions as well as critical judgements to prevent current social ills.    

Course Duration

The program can be completed in 18 months.  

Admission Requirements

An approved bachelors degree or an equivalent academic or professional qualification.

The program consists of 12 subjects and students will be assessed on : ·
