Bristol Law School (BLS) combines excellence in teaching provision with a friendly supportive environment of pastoral care and individual supervision. Our goal is to enable you to achieve your maximum potential in preparation for your eventual vocation, through intellectual enrichment, the acquisition of transferable legal skills and by wider social engagement within the community. BristolLawSchool is composed of two departments, the Department of Law and Bristol Institute of Legal Practice, known as BILP. The Department of Law is a dynamic department with an able and diverse student body of undergraduate students reading for the LLB/Joint Honours and postgraduates pursing research degrees (PhD/MPhil), and the LL.M. (Master of Laws). Our student body is drawn from the four corners of the globe, a reflection of our international outlook and growing reputation as a centre for excellence in legal education. Bristol Institute is the leading provider of professional legal education in the south and west of England and one the leading providers in the United Kingdom. Our courses have consistently been rated as excellent by the profession and we take great pride in ensuring that our courses remain of the highest quality possible.
