The University is a popular place for international students and currently there are about 2800 students from more than 80 different countries. Our School of Law has established itself as one of the most innovative among new universities. Our cutting-edge programmes are popular with students planning to practise professionally, or looking to enhance their careers with a well-respected legal qualification.

  • One of the first UK law schools to offer a LLM (Master’s in Law) degree in ecommerce law, an area where we continue to lead.
  • In 2005 we opened a Law Clinic, the UK’s first truly regional pro bono university advice centre for the general public.
  • We publish the Hertfordshire Law Journal twice yearly, promoting knowledge and discussion on international commercial law.


Currently the general requirements are: (as at January 2010)


ENTRY INTO YEAR 2


  • Pass all subjects in Year 1 at HELP with an average mark of 50%


ENTRY INTO YEAR 3


  • Pass all subjects in Year 2 at HELP with an average mark of 55%

    IELTS 6.0
