Yes. The GCE London A-Levels are in fact the largest A-Level awarding body in the world, as well as in the UK. In fact, the GCE London Examination is accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) in the United Kingdom, a home regulatory body which ensures that all education providers meet the high standards it sets.

The London A-Levels are recognised and accepted by top universities in the world without prejudice. Students who have completed the London A-Levels at HELP have gained admission to Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, University College London, King’s College, Princeton, Stanford, NUS, HKUST and other universities.
The Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) in the UK only recognises the London A-Levels. The London A-Levels is under the tight scrutiny of the QCA for all preparation, distribution and marking of the examination papers. For the London A-Levels, there is a centre in every region to facilitate communication with Edexcel UK, in addition to ensuring that the London A-Levels centres meet the standards set by the QCA.

While the syllabuses of both boards are similar, the London A-Levels is based on a modular system, whereby each subject, in general, is split into 6 units. Students have to complete 2 units per semester, and examinations are taken in stages, ie in January & June, with the AS level being equivalent to Units 1, 2 & 3, and A2, Units 4, 5 & 6. This modular system aims to test you on the application of each unit, and hence a student can choose to repeat a single unit on its own, without having to repeat an entire level. Only the highest mark scored in any attempt will automatically be taken into account.

The Cambridge Board, on the other hand, is linear-based. Students attempt to take the examinations in two stages, AS & A2 Level. Students unsatisfied with any of their individual units must re-sit the entire level, ie either AS or A2, and only the last score will automatically be taken into account.

Known as the "Gold Standard" of pre-university education, the A-Levels is the gateway to the best universities in the world for competitive degree courses, eg medicine, law, economics, engineering, architecture, actuarial science and mathematics.

Critical Thinking Skills or Social Skills are basically sub-sit papers - not an entry requirement into universities. Some colleges impose this subject to have their lecturers fulfil their annual workload hours. At HELP, these skill sets are instead built into the A-Levels examinations, while at the same time develop and nurture them to be well-rounded persons, as this is what top universities are looking for.
