What time must I be there?
Our registration counter is open at 11.00am. You have to register to obtain your STAGE CALL CARD.
However, please take note of the following:
A complimentarygroup photo is included in the graduation package. If you would like to be in the group photo, please check your Group Photography Session Time (according to program).
The Group Photography Session Time will be given out during the gown collection days (5-7 April 2010).

You are required to report at Bilik Pahang (at the Lower Lobby) at least half an hour before the group photography shoot. Do not be late as you WILL NOT be in the group photography session once the shooting has started.
If I reach Shangri-la at 11.00am for registration but my group photography session starts at 12.00 noon, isn’t it a long wait, especially when I have elderly parents or grandparents with me?
·Yes, it will be a long wait as the ceremony will only start at 2.00pm.
Therefore, graduands and their guests are advised to have breakfast and/or lunch while waiting.
·However, please make sure that you check your Group Photography Session Time!
·Elderly parents may wait in Bilik Perlis (Lower Lobby) as we have seats allocated for them.
What time can my guests be seated?
·About 1.30pm. Announcement will be made for them to enter the Grand Ballroom.
Will there be a rehearsal for graduands?
·Yes, there will be a short rehearsal for graduands at about 1.15pm. We will show graduands how to ‘doff’, how to walk and where to walk.
·Graduands must be seated according to their programme and seat number during the rehearsal.
Where can I purchase extra guest tickets?
During gown collection days on 5-7 April 2010 @ Dept of Student Affairs, Exit 12/Block K, HELP Main Block
During the ceremony day, 18 April 2010 at the Shangri-la. Please see any of the HELP staff at the Information Counter to assist you. Guest tickets are priced at RM180 each. We only accept CASH.

Can I bring my children to attend the ceremony? How much do I have to pay?
·Children below 10 are not encouraged to attend the ceremony for one simple reason that it is a solemn ceremony and may be too long for the children to sit through.
·However, if you do wish to have your children witness your achievement, it is perfectly alright to do so. A child who is 5 years and above would definitely need a proper seat and not share the seat with his/her parent. Hence, you are required to buy an extra guest ticket seat for your child at RM180 each.
·For those who are planning to bring children below 4 years old into the ballroom, kindly ensure that you take your child out of the ballroom in the event that he/she feels restless
Is there a dress code for graduands?
·Male graduands should wear a long sleeve shirt, neck tie and a dark coloured lounge suit with proper leather shoes.
·Female graduands should wear dresses or pant suits with court shoes
·For all graduands: jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sneakers, sandals, open-toe shoes and slippers are not allowed.
How about dress code for my guests?
·Graduands’ guests are expected to dress in formal attire.
What is the parking charges at the Shangri-la Hotel ?
·Parking will be charged a flat rate of RM8.00* per entry on convocation day. Validation of parking ticket is not required [*subject to change]
Will I receive my degree certificate during the convocation?
·No, you will not be receiving your degree certificate during the convocation.
