Personal Description
As a former student of HELP, Mr. Lua completed his Bachelor of Law with a second class upper from the University of West England, Bristol in 2004. He then went on to complete his Master’s in Law from the University of Bristol in 2005, with an area of specialization in public international law and specifically in international dispute settlement.

Mr. Lua started to develop an overwhelming interest for international law during his final year of the LLB programme, and under the tutorship of Dr. Nikolaos Tsagourias, Mr. Lua completed his research dissertation, titled – “The Enduring Partition: Legal Status of the Island of Taiwan”.

The cross-disciplined area of research interests of Mr. Lua span a wide ranging topics from Public International Law, Conflict of Laws, the Law of War and Constitutional Law to International Politics, Theories of International Relations and Security.

Mr. Lua currently lectures Constitutional and Administrative Law at HELP.
