Personal Description
Prior to joining HELP, Mr Goh practised law for several years. While in practice, he specialised in civil litigation, especially in the areas of foreclosure, passing off and banking litigation. He also drafted several contracts, including contracts of services and partnership agreements. In addition, he also has experience in conveyancing matters.
In 2004, Mr. Goh obtained his LLM from the University of Malaya, specialising in Constitutional Law. In his dissertation entitled Strengthening Separation of Powers Between the Legislature and the Executive in Malaysia, Mr Goh examined the weaknesses of the constitutional theory of Separation of Powers in relation to the political parties in Malaysia and proposed reforms to strengthen the doctrine. His interests are in the areas of constitutional law and politics. He currently teaches Government and Politics and Constitutional Law. He has also taught Jurisprudence on the University of Malaya’s Bachelor of Jurisprudence program.
