Ms. Kathleen holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London, a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1999.

Ms. Kathleen was in legal practice for over seven years as a litigation lawyer in the fields of banking, general and civil litigation. She has represented both the State Bar and the Malaysian Bar Council in netball and has been a member of the State Bar Sports Committee and the Malaysian Bar Welfare and Sports Committee.

Upon leaving legal practice in 2006, Ms. Kathleen worked as an in-house legal counsel in a major retail company where she dealt with issues as diverse as the drafting of land related corporate agreements and opinions, tortious claims and industrial relations matters.

Ms. Kathleen has always had a passion for teaching and writing which led her to HELP University College. Her interests lie in the Law of Tort, Family Law, Environmental Law and Criminal Law.

Ms. Kathleen has taught Legal Skills and Criminal Law and is currently the course leader for Legal Skills and Legal Practice as well as the principal lecturer and tutor for Criminal Law.
